If your recent air sample is not in compliance due to Insufficient Airflow, this AirCheck✓ Tech Note™may help you identify the source of your Insufficient Airflow.
The air specification limit for condensed hydrocarbons is 0.1 mg/m3. It is possible that your sample would have passed if the minimum of 1,000 liters of air had been obtained.
To ensure that your air is oxygen compatible, you should take your test for 50 LPM for 20 minutes. Please refer to yellow box on page 2 of the instructions. It has the calculation to determine how long to run your sample at any flow rate you choose.
Samples for Grade E breathing air do not require 1,000 liters of air because the allowable limit for condensed hydrocarbons is 5 mg/m3. The limit for Oxygen Compatible air is 0.1 mg/m3 and is the reason the air volume is so critical.
