SQF Code, Edition 7.2: A Guide to Compressed Air and Gas

Safe Quality Food Institute (SQF) states that compressed air should be treated as a potential source of contamination and that, “the air must not contribute any contamination to the product.”

Compressed air requirements from SQF’s Code, Edition 7.2 have been updated in the newly released SQF Code, Edition 8. Details about the new changes to Edition 8 are discussed in this blog.

Audits that are conducted prior to Jan. 02, 2018 may still be conducted according to Edition 7.2 of SQF Code, July 2014.
